I Wanted to be a Medical Doctor not Comedian – Seyi Law

In a recent interview with Saturday Beats, comedian Seyi Law told the newspaper that he wanted to be a medical doctor and not a comedian. According to Seyi, “I didn’t plan to be a comedian; it was my cousin who saw the talent in me and felt I could do it. When I started out in
August, 2005; he introduced me on stage for the first time. And at a point, I just decided to make it
a career. I wanted to be a medical doctor. A lot of my colleagues would tell you I was brilliant in the line of science. I even got admission to study Medicine twice. But then, it was at the point when we had financial challenges and it was so difficult for me to continue running the admission. I
remember I started attending classes at one particular point but I had to pull back eventually
to start contributing to the sustenance of the family with menial jobs that I did to earn
stipends. But thank God for what we have today. “I knew that if I was going to really succeed in
this business, I had to remain relevant for the first ten years, and by the special grace of God, the
dream has come true. Even after the first 10years now, we are still going to do greater things. Winning two awards just a week after my ten years celebration means that it can only get
better.” he concluded.

Military Air Plane Crashes in Kaduna , Seven Feared Dead !

An Air Force Training flight crashed into Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Officers Quarters, Kaduna on Saturday morning leaving seven reportedly dead.
Those on board the flight which crashed at about 6. 47am included three passengers as well as the pilot, co-pilot, and two engineers.
It was learnt that the Abuja bound flight crashed about ten minutes after take off from the NAF base.

Handlers of the annual Beat Of Lagos Concert have announced this as another form of excitement for this year’s edition of the event.
As part of this year’s event, organizers of the award have announced that the winner of the ‘Beat of Lagos Award’ initiated during the 2014 edition of the event will smile home with a plot of land situated in Lekki, Lagos.
Billed to hold on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the posh Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, this year’s edition will feature performances from music stars such as M.I Abaga, Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz, Ruby Gyang, Victoria Kimani, DJ Caise and many others.

Dbanj On Why He’ s Yet to Get Married

Dbanj opened up to Saturday Beats on why he’s
yet to get married.
Dbaj said “While growing up, there were some
goals I set for myself and at 35; I have
accomplished most of them. Sadly, I have not
accomplished the primary goals. The main one is
marriage. By now, I thought I would have been
married.
“I had always thought I would have a child before
the age of 30. That fantasy did not become a
reality because I wanted to strengthen my brand.
I wanted to be sure that I was on the right path
career-wise because as a kid, you need to crawl
before you can walk and eventually run. I wanted
to be sure I surpass all boundaries and reach a
certain stage where I can easily balance my work
and family. That is the main reason why I am not
married.”

Nigerian afro-pop singer, Yemi Alade narrowly escapes death in London in the early hours of Friday.
The MAMA award winner and Jonny crooner who was in Wembley to thrill fans today, took to her instagram in the early hours of today to announced to her fans about a fire she and her team narrowly escaped, confirming no body was hurt.
