Miss Colombia has shared a heartfelt social media post after she was wrongly crowned Miss Universe on Sunday night.
Ariadna Gutiérrez had to hand over her crown to Miss Philippines after Steve Harvey mistakenly called out her name in front of a live TV audience.
Reacting gracefully, the runner-up thanked people for their support and kindness following the incident.
Writing on Instagram alongside a snap taken at the annual pageant, Ariadna said:
“After the storm comes the calm. I want to thank each and everyone of you who have sent messages of support and strength. Every one of you has become an incredible human being in my book and I am the most fortunate and thankful for having the support not only from one country but from the whole entire world.

She added that she was pleased that Colombia and the Latin community are being talked about all around the world.
“Your destiny is written for you. And my destiny was this. I was able to bring happiness to my country after becoming Miss Universe for only a couple of minutes… Today because of that COLOMBIA and the LATIN COMMUNITY are being talked about in every corner of the world. I also want to congratulate the Philippines for their new Miss Universe.
The happiness that you must be feeling must be incredible. Life continues and in the future we will find out why things happen the way they happen. Thank you all for your LOVE SUPPORT and KINDNESS.”

Steve Harvey has been invited to host Miss Universe again despite his monumental mix-up.
The 58-year-old comedian made headlines all over when he announced the wrong winner in front of a live audience and millions watching at home.
But despite it making waves all around the world, Miss Universe organiser Mark Shapiro says Harvey is more than welcome back next year.
“He was funny, he was informative, he’s high energy, he’s got a great following. I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to wanta shot to redeem himself.And he’s not the only one who wants to see him back – Miss Universe judge Perez Hilton also said he’d like to see him return.
He told Us Weekly:
“They need to bring Steve Harvey back again next year. And bring me back as a special backstage correspondent. I was a little bummed he stole my thunder because I had a good Trump moment earlier in the telecast that nobody remembers now because of everything that happened.

United States President, Barrack Obama has named a Nigerian-American journalist and Anti-human Trafficking advocate, Bukola Love Oriola as a member of the US Advisory Council on Human Trafficking.
In a statement by the office of the Press Secretary, White House on December 16, Obama said he was honoured that Oriola and ten others appointed to serve on the council have decided to serve the country.
“They bring their years of experience and expertise to this Administration, and I look forward to working with them,” Obama stated.
According to White House statement, Oriola, has served as an independent consultant, speaker, and author on human trafficking issues since 2009.
She founded The Entian Story in 2013, a non-profit organization which advocates for survivors of human trafficking and domestic abuse after her personal experience when she relocated to the US from Nigeria.
“In 2009, Ms. Oriola published her book Imprisoned: The Travails of a Trafficked Victim and began producing Imprisoned Show. Ms. Oriola has owned and managed Bukola Braiding and Beauty Supply since 2007. She was a reporter and researcher for Century Media Limited in Lagos, Nigeria from 2003 to 2005. Ms. Oriola received an A.S. from The Polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo.”
She began her journalism career in Nigeria in 2000 at Common Interest Communications, Publishers of the defunct National Interest Newspapers and later joined the defunct New Age Newspaper.

Bukola Oriola is a human trafficking survivor and will be attending a conference in human trafficking in Lagos, Nigeria as part of a class she is taking at Metro State University in St. Paul, September 2, 2015. (Pioneer Press: Scott Takushi)
In 2005, Oriola won the Cadbury National Award for Education Reporters and is a fellow of the International Institute for Journalism, Germany.
Responding to her appointment, Oriola who was in Nigeria in September on sensitization campaign against human trafficking, said she was grateful and humbled.
“Please join in thanking God on my behalf. I regard the appointment as an opportunity to do more than I have been doing in advocating against Human Trafficking in the United States and in other parts of the world.”

I Think in Brazil Today 87 percent of the communication means is through social network either BMM , Whatsapp, Facebook , Skype and others , the issue of a Brazilian judge to block WhatsApp (which is also owned by Facebook C.E.O Zuckerberg) for more than 100 million people in the Entire country, due to this the Facebook Boss shown his frustration following the decision by the Judge on his Official Facebook profile. See what he wrote.
Tonight, a Brazilian judge blocked WhatsApp for more than 100 million people who rely on it in her country.
We are working hard to get this block reversed. Until then, Facebook Messengeris still active and you can use it to communicate instead.
This is a sad day for Brazil. Until today, Brazil has been an ally in creating an open internet. Brazilians have always been among the most passionate in sharing their voice online.
I am stunned that our efforts to protect people’s data would result in such an extreme decision by a single judge to punish every person in Brazil who uses WhatsApp.
We hope the Brazilian courts quickly reverse course. If you’re Brazilian, please make your voice heard and help your government reflect the will of its people.
